Demoing a bunker machine to see if this would be a good addition to our equipment. They produce a nice smooth finish in the bunker but it can be a challenge to get in and out of the bunkers. We don't want to damage the edges of any of the bunkers.

With the rains over the last few weeks the reservoir is in a much better place. Water levels have returned to where they were in the spring. Hopefully we will not need to restrict our water usage again this season. The range is one area that we had restricted our water usage. Now it has its colour back.

After we had the hydraulic leak on the approach to the 9th green of Knudson the sod needed to be removed. We cut it all out and replaced it with fairway grass from the side of 1 Knudson fairway..   We are replacing the fairway grass with rough (bluegrass) on 1 Knudson. This is the beginning of fairway realignment. This area on the fairway was quite wide and will be more consistent with the other fairways on the course. In time we will be realigning many different areas on the fairways that will clean up these edges by giving them a nice smooth finished look.

As you are using the range tee we would like to see you take your divots in a linear pattern. This will help with recover because in combination with the divot mix that will fill the divots and grass will grow laterally to fill in these areas. The scattered pattern will recover well but it is not an efficient way to practice, it uses up extra tee space. The concentrated method is the slowest to recover because it needs to mainly recover from seed. For the divots out on the fairways you will have received a divot bottle on your golf cart, power caddy or carrying bag. Take the time to fill these up and smooth them out for the benefit of all golfers and recovery. The seed that is added to these bottles is meant for fairways only, not rough areas. If we all work together recovery will happen quickly and playing surfaces will be at there best. https://www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/articles/2019/05/divot-repair--why-and-how.html
